SMALL GAMES. BIGGER QUESTIONS.
Sometimes all it takes is one strange little rule.
Enemies without health bars. A shield that changes your dice. A power grid with wings.
Start with something specific the game does. The kind of rule you can explain in a sentence and keep thinking about afterward.
Ask what that rule changes for the player. Where to build. When to stop. Which problem to leave for your future, less fortunate self.
Curiosity is a useful recommendation. We want to give you a reason to look closer, and enough context to decide whether it’s your thing.
HOW WE WRITE
Our game reports and launch reports examine official listings, screenshots and, where stated, developer updates and a selected sample of Steam comments. They are not hands-on reviews. We have not played these games for this coverage, assigned scores or invented playtime.
Each report separates the documented game, what players report, our analysis and what remains untested. Player comments are paraphrased with links to the originals. Small, deliberately contrasting English-language samples do not represent the whole audience; Steam’s aggregate statistics are shown separately and dated.
These reports use AI-assisted research and writing. Source links let you check the basis of the claims. Developer-listed fixes remain reported changes until tested. Our interpretations are questions and conditional analysis, not findings from a playthrough.
Game imagery comes from official Steam listings, not our gameplay captures. Social cards combine that imagery with our publication’s typography. Promotional screenshots may show earlier builds.
We reserve “hands-on review” for coverage with recorded playtime, platform, date and access information. Substantive revisions carry an update date. Publication of weekly issues remains an editorial decision.
One mechanic. One decision. A little dry humor.
That’s the idea.
