Black Gold makes the night shift an optional bill

Buying a saloon in Black Gold: Oil Drilling Simulator does not simply add another passive earner. In the Update 1.1.0 changelog, the developer says it unlocks optional night shifts for workers. Enabling those shifts doubles their wages.
That separates acquiring an option from using it. You can own the building and still have a decision about the work schedule. More time on the job is not, by itself, evidence of a better net return; the source names the increased wage cost without supplying a corresponding output multiplier.
Other town properties show why that distinction is useful. The same update says the church generates passive donation income, while the bank unlocks government contracts with two requirements. A purchase can produce income, open a conditional job or offer a more expensive schedule. Treating all three as interchangeable upgrades would hide the next decision each creates.
The underlying operation already involves maintaining machinery and housing a hired crew. The saloon extends that management premise into deciding when the crew works. The update also introduces newspaper events affecting prices and expenses, giving you another advertised reason to inspect the current conditions before treating longer hours as automatically profitable.
For a player interested in running the oil field, the consequential moment comes after the property transaction. The new building has bought permission to spend more on labor. The next choice is whether this is the night to use it.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
