Blasterbug: Last Bug Standing! does not always ask you to be the last bug standing. Its official description gives that condition to Death Battle, while Coin Battle is won by the richest bug. Choosing the mode changes what the brawl is trying to decide.

That distinction matters before comparing an attack or escape only by whether it removes an opponent. Survival is the named finish condition in one mode; wealth is the named finish condition in another. The source does not say that a knockout transfers coins or explain what death does in Coin Battle, so those connections need to be checked in the actual rules.

The bugs supply different advertised interventions. Fly can fly out of danger, Spider can trap enemies in a web, and R. Beelte has a flaming dung ball. Those capabilities give the group different ways to act inside the arena without establishing which character is strongest under a particular objective.

Party Battle combines the modes with random modifiers, making the current rules worth noticing rather than assuming one permanent scoring goal. Up to eight players are supported locally, according to the developer. For a group considering the game, the useful first question is the simple one the title cannot answer for every match: are we trying to survive, become rich or satisfy another objective this round?

Sources & context

The official description supports distinct winning conditions but does not state how coins are earned or lost, whether deaths eliminate players in Coin Battle, or a tie-break rule. Local support up to eight players is advertised; online play is not inferred.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
