Blood Dungeon gives different characters different routes through the arena
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Blood Dungeon gives the character selection a movement consequence: Leggy spins climbable webs, while Bug can fly. Those are officially described perks, not merely different appearances attached to the same weapon loop. Choosing a bunkmate can change how you get through the arena.
The spaces are described through ladders, grates, chains, walls, ceilings and water. A climbable web introduces a named way of moving in that environment; flight offers another. The source supplies no web-placement limit or flight duration, so it cannot promise an unlimited route or escape from any corner.
The monsters also have different relationships to the geometry. Some fly through walls; others walk, stick or bounce on them. That keeps the advertised movement perks from being read as automatic safety. A route that uses a surface is still part of a space where enemies move in their own ways.
Weapons matter too, but they are not the whole reason to choose a character. If a platforming horde game appeals, inspect what Leggy’s web or Bug’s flight lets you attempt before comparing only damage. Blood Dungeon’s specific invitation is to make traversal part of surviving the crowd: the arena is something to move around, over and through, not just the floor beneath a build.
Sources & context
The official description names the movement perks but gives no web limit, flight duration or invulnerability rule. Enemy movement types are advertised separately; no particular escape or matchup is guaranteed.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
