Connect Tracks gives the numbers a companion rule. The official description says each row and column specifies its track-cell count, while the railway must stay connected and cannot fork. Filling the correct totals is only part of finishing the route.

A square has to make sense in both systems: does it fit the remaining count, and can its direction belong to the single railway? That pairing is the puzzle’s useful attraction. A number can restrict how much track belongs in a line without, by itself, saying how the train gets through it.

The developer advertises no timer but only three mistakes. That separates time to think from permission to guess; the listing does not define exactly which inputs spend the allowance. If you want a counting puzzle whose answer must also function as a path, inspect how the totals and connections constrain one another. The train needs a route, not just a balanced grid.

Sources & context

The official listing establishes count, connectivity and a three-mistake allowance. It does not define what the app counts as a mistake or prove its advertised unique-solution claim; neither is assumed here.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
