Crawl Tactics lets a shove change what the ground will do

A shove in Crawl Tactics can change the source of the damage. The official Android description explicitly describes pushing enemies into blade traps, knocking them off cliffs and electrifying enemies standing in water. Position matters because the destination can do something to its occupant.
The developer also says traps and terrain affect both your party and its enemies. A dangerous patch is therefore useful to inspect from both directions: as a destination for an opponent and as somewhere your own unit may be exposed. An environmental attack does not make the environment friendly.
No push distance, damage value or immunity list is supplied, so a nearby trap is not proof of a guaranteed elimination. What the description supports is a change in the planning question. Alongside choosing which skill hits the enemy, look for what could happen if its position changes.
If that is the tactical pleasure you want, Crawl Tactics offers specific interactions worth examining. The battlefield’s features are advertised as things you can make consequential, with the complication that they can remain consequential to you too.
Sources & context
The Android description establishes environmental interactions and shared exposure to traps. It does not disclose damage, resistances, push distances or whether every unit can be moved. No particular action sequence or guaranteed kill is claimed.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
