A shard is only one destination in Dark Succubus. The developer’s description puts collectibles in a maze with a pursuing succubus and identifies two ways to avoid capture: move away in advance, or hide in a designated dodge point. The route to the next shard also needs somewhere to go when the hunter approaches.

That is different from treating collection and evasion as separate jobs. A turn that advances the shard hunt may take you toward or away from a known hiding point. This is a route-planning implication of the stated rules, not an observed account of a particular corridor or chase.

Repeated captures end the game. The listing does not give the exact allowance, explain detection or establish how long a dodge point remains safe, so it cannot support a strategy of deliberately spending a specific number of captures. It supports the more basic priority: recognize an evasion option before relying on it.

Despite its title and customizable pursuer costumes, the developer explicitly says the game includes no actual sexual acts or exposed genitalia. Its documented play question is the maze chase. Investigate it for the tension between collecting what the exit requires and keeping a route that does not simply lead the pursuer to your next stop.

Sources & context

The official listing establishes pursuit, dodge points and repeated-capture failure, but not the exact capture allowance, hiding duration or enemy detection rules. The developer explicitly says the game has no actual sexual acts or exposed genitalia.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
