Dig, Dig, Die puts the shovel and the voice chat in the monster’s hearing
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Dig, Dig, Die makes two useful activities audible to the same threat. Its developer says most monsters hear sounds from shovels to voice chat. Digging opens graves for loot, while talking coordinates the group; both belong to the advertised sound risk.
That creates a communication decision rather than a simple instruction to stay quiet forever. The task requires searching coffins and crypts, and the group has information to share. The description does not give detection distances or a reliably silent technique, so there is no supported rule that whispering, standing still or using a particular tool guarantees safety. It establishes the need to consider when a noise is worth making.
The grave itself can change what the group has available. Loot is described as including speed and super-jump boosts, but also curses and monsters that emerge from the ground. Finding something is not automatically finding help. Back on the ship, vending machines provide another advertised way to acquire useful items rather than relying only on what the graves reveal.
The particular attraction is friends becoming part of the soundscape the creatures use. A warning can be useful to a teammate while also being audible to a hunter. If that overlap appeals, the next question is not just who digs which grave, but when the information is worth saying aloud.
Sources & context
The listing says most monsters, not every monster. It gives no sound radius, detection threshold, reliable silent action or guaranteed loot outcome. No session, voice-chat behavior or casino probability was tested.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
