Dominion of the Forgotten separates a saved collection from the Equipment found during a run. The developer says Relics can be preserved outside individual expeditions, then selected before the next adventure to shape starting advantages. Collecting is followed by a choice about what to bring back in.

That makes the persistent layer more specific than retaining the entire previous loadout. The page explicitly contrasts Relics with in-run Equipment. It does not give a selection limit or a particular Relic effect, so there is no supported best starting combination or guarantee that every collected advantage can be equipped at once.

Extraction remains a separate boundary. Expeditions are advertised as time-limited, but the description does not explain exactly which newly found objects survive failure. A Relic’s ability to exist outside a run is not enough to establish that it reaches that collection without a successful return.

The useful attraction is the collection becoming a menu for the next start. If you enjoy developing a build between attempts, look for the difference between what an expedition gives you temporarily and what it lets you choose later. The next trip begins with a selection, not an automatic copy of the last one.

Sources & context

The listing does not name a Relic effect, selection limit or what survives a failed extraction. Preservation outside runs is not assumed to protect every newly found object before it has been extracted.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
