Goblin Attack lets a missed enemy take your speed buff instead of your life
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

A goblin getting past you in Goblin Attack is not advertised as the end of the run. The developer says a miss resets the speed buff instead. A stealth goblin adds another consequence: if it slips by, it steals gold. Keeping the journey moving quickly still asks you to notice what is in the path.
The enemy examples give that attention a particular shape. Shield Bearers require several hits according to size, while stealth goblins blend into the background. Those are different reasons a target might get through. The source does not give a buff amount or stolen-gold quantity, so neither cost should be converted into an invented optimal firing rate.
There is passive work beside the aiming. Income buildings and a bottom-of-screen mode are advertised as continuing while you use other applications. That can supply a reason to let the game run, without establishing that unattended shooting maintains the same pace or that a closed application keeps earning.
Ascension resets progress while preserving Essence for new abilities such as multi-shot on tap. The exact reset boundary is unspecified, but the named ability is one way the developer says the later shooting can change.
If background progression appeals, decide what you want to keep active. Passive income and accurate aim serve different parts of this journey. The stated miss rule gives you a reason to glance back: the archer may still be alive, but the speed buff you were maintaining may be gone.
Sources & context
The listing supplies miss consequences but no speed-buff amount, gold-theft quantity or targeting assistance. Background running does not establish closed-application accrual; the advertised seven-archer tower was not tested.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
