Karma Keepers can turn an unrestored soul into a threat at the next wave
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

A waiting soul can change category in Karma Keepers. The official description says Corruption Waves reduce every soul’s Karma, and a Lost Soul that falls too low becomes a Shadow. Restoration competes with a recurring deterioration, rather than only waiting for more currency.
The economy is built around collecting Faith from Totems and restoring souls into Keepers with different roles. Recollectors gather loose Faith before it fades, giving unattended resources a separate reason to require attention. Those systems supply automation, but the advertised wave still asks whether vulnerable souls will remain above the threshold.
Shadow Incursions can damage the setup that supplies the realm. The description does not establish that every newly transformed Shadow immediately attacks, or publish the wave interval and Karma values, so those links should not be treated as one measured chain. It does give the timer a concrete significance: conditions can worsen while the machinery continues running.
If that kind of incremental strategy interests you, watch what the realm is preserving alongside what it produces. A larger flow of Faith is only part of the advertised job. The souls awaiting restoration have a state that the next wave can change.
Sources & context
The official description establishes wave-based Karma loss and the Lost Soul threshold, but not exact values, wave intervals or whether a newly transformed Shadow attacks immediately. Incursions bring destructive Shadows; these events are not collapsed into a single verified trigger.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
