A surplus of iron ore need not mean more of the same production line in Lazy Witch’s Factory. The official description offers a demonic contract that transforms it into a gem. Other contracts rewrite recipes. During the advertised 30-minute debt deadline, what a resource can become is itself a planning variable.

That changes the response to a bottleneck. The factory still mines resources, makes products and sells them toward the debt, but the contract layer asks whether the current recipe should remain the recipe. The iron-to-gem example is specific enough to show the distinction: a material already on hand can acquire a different use instead of requiring another source of raw supply. The listing does not give exchange quantities or contract prices, so a profitable conversion is not guaranteed by that example alone.

The developer says the shift resets everything except what you learned. That makes each run a place to improve contract selection and factory design, without establishing permanent upgrades to carry into the next attempt. The attraction is a deadline that can make a temporary fix relevant. You are choosing a production system for this debt and these available deals, not proving that its recipes deserve to last forever.

Sources & context

The official description supplies the deadline and an iron-to-gem contract example. Contract costs, availability and recipe quantities are unspecified; no persistent-upgrade system is inferred from the reset language. Listed as Early Access.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
