Lost Pages makes your deck decide which elements you draw

Lost Pages moves the random draw away from the spell and onto what pays for it. The developer’s description says your deck creates a pool of Fire, Water, Earth and Air; every turn draws elemental resources from that pool. Spells then require elemental costs.
That makes a new spell a question about the resource system around it. Its effect may be attractive, but which elements does it need, and what pool is the deck creating? Those are questions the advertised rules invite; the listing does not supply the weights needed to calculate a particular draw.
Ether adds a further wrinkle: drawing it changes its nature and triggers another element draw. The developer presents this as a source of chains, without exposing a complete transformation table. A draw can therefore lead to another draw rather than simply finish the turn’s supply.
If drawing the right card has become a familiar problem, Lost Pages offers a different place to look for uncertainty. Start with what your spells demand, then examine the elements your deck is arranging to provide. The deck is choosing a resource environment as well as a collection of effects.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
