Magic Girl makes leaving a beat alone part of the rhythm

Magic Girl: Casual Rhythm Game asks for a little restraint amid the slicing. The Android description describes fruit, balls and other objects moving through its musical action, alongside bombs and spiky hedgehogs. Touch either hazard and, according to the developer, the attempt ends and starts afresh.
That gives an incoming object two different meanings. Some invite a cut; others demand that you leave them alone. Following the music cannot simply mean touching everything that arrives. Identifying what you are about to hit belongs in the rhythm too.
The listing supplies no chart showing how hazards sit among targets, so this rule cannot establish how readable or forgiving the actual songs are. It does establish a useful question for a first look: does refusing a cut feel as deliberate as making one? Investigate Magic Girl if that interruption to the usual procession of musical targets is the attraction.

The Android description establishes the touch hazards, not their spacing, hitboxes or relation to a particular song. Song availability, input responsiveness and the advertised low difficulty were not tested.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
