Pibcremental’s workers generate resources after you give them somewhere to work. The official description starts with hatching Pibs and assigning them to buildings, then grows the tree to reveal more factories. Idle production leaves an active decision about where the population belongs.

Patch 1.0.03 changes how that decision is carried out: the developer adds assigning and unassigning multiple Pibs at a building. Moving a group can express one staffing choice without repeating the same individual operation for every worker.

The distinction matters as new buildings appear. A larger tree offers more places to put the workforce, but more possible assignments need not require proportionally more assignment clicks. The patch also adds bulk hatching and hiring. It does not supply enough production figures to identify the most efficient building or prove how much time these controls save.

Relics provide another advertised way to improve particular buildings, while prestige restarts a run for permanent buffs. Those systems make workforce placement part of a growing production plan rather than a complete strategy on its own. If directing the Pibs appeals, inspect a change of assignment as well as a rising resource total. An idle game’s next useful action may be moving the people who are already doing the work.

Sources & context

Bulk assignment is developer-reported in Patch 1.0.03. No staffing quantities, comparative building efficiency or measured reduction in input effort are established.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
