Death in Quick Dungeon Crawler resets the run without necessarily erasing the equipment. The Android description explicitly says equipment carries over in normal mode. The character’s next attempt can therefore begin with something recovered from the last one.

That gives an equipment find a life beyond the current climb, while a level-up choice belongs to a separately described system: three upgrades offered with two rerolls. The description does not say those level-up choices carry over. Keeping the two claims separate avoids treating a restarted run as an entirely preserved build.

Hardcore advertises permanent losses but does not enumerate them. That is a reason to inspect the mode’s exact rules before assuming normal-mode protection still applies. The useful choice is what you want failure to leave behind: an ended attempt with equipment to use again, or a harsher form whose loss rules deserve a closer look.

Sources & context

The Android description establishes normal-mode equipment carryover and Hardcore permanent losses without enumerating the latter’s affected items. It does not establish carryover for every currency, companion or temporary upgrade. No executable or source-code implementation was tested.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
