Scapewatch keeps working after you close the tab.
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Scapewatch asks you to set the work down. The listing says you queue a task, close the tab, and come back stronger. While you are offline the character keeps gathering, fighting, training skills, filling the bank and starting the next task. You can weight the activities you want. You can reroll a task you do not.
The work has names. The page lists 30 skills. Combat is Life, Spirit, Strike, Heft, Sight, Draw, Focus, Surge, Dodge and Defend. Gathering is Fish, Mine, Forage, Invoke, Farm, Plunder and Bard. Processing is Cook, Smith, Craft, Imbue, Brew, Barter and Discover. The field skills are Vigor, Slay, Luck and Alms. The raid skills are Delve and Fortify. Melee, ranged and magic are three separate combat paths. Favoring a skill, weighting an activity and rerolling a task are how the page says you shape the queue before you leave it.

The same page sells a world that stays open. Other players are visible. A clan can broadcast when someone levels, finishes a quest, finds a pet or dies. Raids take up to five players across five difficulty tiers: randomized waves, a revive between them, loot by contribution, and a clan leaderboard. A raid asks you to stay for the wave. The queue is built so you can leave. Long-term counters sit on both: 60 skill pets plus shiny variants, 62 skill capes including trimmed ones, treasure scrolls, quests and hiscores for skills, pets, scrolls and clans. Those are what the queue is pointed at. They are not a measurement of an offline hour.
The game is in playtest. The listing says you request access, that a connection is required, and that a wishlist is how you hear about the launch. The decision is still which job you are willing to stop watching. A death in a clan broadcast is news about someone else’s fight. What a death does inside the queue you closed is the question the page leaves open.

Store page rechecked October 9. The 30 skill names, offline work, weighting, rerolls, clan broadcasts, five-player raids and the playtest notice are the listing's. The screenshot shows Auto Slay and Auto Loadout on during a fight that is still open. Heft is one of the named combat skills. The frame is not a closed tab, and it does not show an offline death. No player reviews were used.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
