Step Lightly lets Rosa move the boxes to make a route through the house

A box in Step Lightly can become part of Rosa’s route out. The developer says boxes can be pushed and pulled to create paths and reach higher spaces. The house’s contents are objects to rearrange, not only scenery around the escape.
Cabinets and shelves supply the surrounding platforming space. Moving a box can change what is reachable, although the page gives no complete puzzle to reproduce or exact height to calculate. Keys, cranks and bottles are also listed as objects to pick up and throw, without assigning each an invented mechanism.
The route has a separate stealth demand. Quiet movement avoids alerting Rosa’s parents, according to the description. That does not establish whether pushing a particular box makes noise, or how far a sound travels. The useful question is how to reach the next space while remaining aware of the household’s threats.
The horror premise gives the ordinary furniture an unpleasant role: it belongs to a home the protagonist needs to leave. The concrete attraction is finding a way through by changing what supports her. A box that blocks one route can be something to investigate as a step toward another.
Sources & context
The official description names the box function and stealth goal but gives no noise model, parent patrol route or worked puzzle. Moving a box is not assumed to be silent. The abusive-family horror premise is fictional; no real-world escape advice is offered.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
