The Cave Diver lets your signs outlive the body that placed them
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

The Cave Diver gives a descent a way to leave directions for the next body. The official description lets you hammer signs into the rock and says the marks remain when another diver enters. A failed attempt can leave a physical reference rather than only a route in your memory.
Movement uses the grip of two hands through tunnels and physical obstacles. That makes a sign’s purpose concrete: it belongs to a passage you have tried to traverse. The source does not state a marker limit or a recoverable-equipment system, so persistence of a sign should not become a claim that all progress or supplies survive.
A later diver may also find the predecessor’s decayed remains, if the route can be reached. That condition matters: the existence of an earlier body is not a promise of an accessible checkpoint. The particular attraction is the cave retaining evidence of your attempts while asking another diver to make the journey. Leave a mark for a route worth recognizing, then discover what the next body can actually reach.
Sources & context
The official description supports persistent signs and possible predecessor remains, but not marker limits, recoverable equipment, exact death/reset rules or guaranteed corpse access. The family’s healing-flower story is fictional lore and is not adopted as a medical claim.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
