Touhou: Divine Land lets a character borrow another unit’s SpellCard
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Koishi using Final Spark is the developer’s own example for Touhou: Divine Land -Majesty in Game-. The short description says units can use SpellCards from other units. A character’s familiar spell identity is therefore not the only advertised source of their tactical tools.
That gives the roster a more particular build question than how many characters it contains. Classes, talents, accessories and tarot are also named as ingredients, but the borrowed SpellCard is the concrete example of a combination crossing between characters. The source does not establish that every card fits every unit or explain what must be unlocked first.
The game also offers fixed and random point-addition modes. Those describe another choice in character growth, without enough detail to claim a particular stat advantage. A borrowed spell and a growth mode are distinct parts of preparation; neither tells us how an actual stage’s terrain or enemies will reward the combination.
If rearranging familiar Touhou tools is the appeal, begin with that cross-unit possibility rather than the advertised roster count. Ask what a different SpellCard lets the selected character contribute, then check its requirements in the current build. The store still describes the last three chapters as later free updates, so the full chapter count should not be treated as verified launch content.
Sources & context
The cross-unit example is explicitly in the official short description. Unlock costs, universal compatibility and current availability of the promised last three chapters were not verified. This is a Touhou fan game, not an official-series release claim.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
