Void: Roguelite Loot Grind gives the current hero a possible purpose beyond collecting another item. The official description says sacrificing a hero awards shards, which buy prestige perks. Those perks remain across every hero you create.

The important distinction is between the character you are developing and the benefit that can outlast that character. Another item improves the present build; the described sacrifice converts the hero into a resource for later ones. It is a different destination for the effort spent progressing.

The source does not show a shard formula or enumerate what equipment survives. That prevents a claim about the best sacrifice point, or an assumption that every possession joins the perks in the next attempt. What is explicit is the permanence of the purchased perks across heroes.

If building one character after another appeals, inspect what a sacrifice would add before treating the current hero’s strength as the only measure of progress. Void’s advertised loop gives an ending a lasting use, but leaves the timing of that exchange to a closer look.

Sources & context

The Android description establishes hero sacrifice, shards and cross-hero prestige perks. It does not specify shard calculations, sacrifice eligibility or which equipment/currencies survive. Automatic combat and monetization claims are not independently validated or used as the defining discovery.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
