Angador offers two separate places to take control. You can choose a prepared class or assemble a character through talents, attributes and skills. You can then let the AI control that adventurer through the dungeon or control the hero yourself, according to the Android listing.

Those choices need not express the same preference. Wanting to design a character does not necessarily mean wanting to direct every step, and choosing manual control does not require inventing a class from scratch. Angador’s description places character construction and moment-to-moment control on separate menus of responsibility.

Descent supplies a reason to care about the result: the developer says deeper levels bring more dangerous monsters and more valuable treasure. It does not tell us how reliably the AI handles that escalation, or precisely when control modes can change. If the appeal is watching a character you designed work through danger, investigate the boundary of that delegation before trusting it with a deeper floor.

Sources & context

The Android description establishes character creation and AI/manual control. It does not establish whether modes can be switched at any instant, how competent the AI is or which actions it automates. The later-release wishlist is not treated as shipped content.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
