BeaterCore’s repair preparation has to fit in the car. The official description says you make quick repairs between races, using items stored in a trunk with limited space. Keeping spare parts in the garage and bringing supplies to an event are different decisions.

That limit makes a maintenance plan something you pack. You cannot infer that every part you own will be available beside the track merely because the first-person garage lets you stockpile it. The description does not identify a particular breakdown or repair recipe, so it cannot justify a compulsory item list. It does establish why choosing what to carry belongs to preparing the car.

The developer also says multiplayer races affect cars in the same way as career races. That brings the advertised maintenance concern into racing friends; online competition is not presented as automatically exempt from the car’s condition. It does not, by itself, establish shared saves or identical career progression.

Different seasons and track-specific tuning provide further reasons to investigate preparation, but the clearest constraint is physical room in the trunk. If you like a project car that needs attention beyond the starting line, look at which repairs become possible with the supplies you actually brought. A well-stocked garage is reassuring; its usefulness at the next event depends on what made the trip.

Sources & context

The official description supports limited trunk space and field repairs, but names no particular failure, item size or repair recipe. It does not establish identical online and career progression or save sharing; the comparison concerns effects on cars.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
