Carpet Cleaning Simulator
Carpet Cleaning Simulator lets the meteor erase one upgrade class and spare another
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

The meteor in Carpet Cleaning Simulator separates two kinds of purchase. The developer says persistent upgrades survive the time reset, while run-based boosts disappear when it falls. Improving this cleaning session and improving later sessions are distinct advertised decisions.
The work has more than one earning step too. Scrubbing creates foam, water washes it away, and a squeegee pushes it toward the drain; the page specifically names cleaning carpets and washing foam as resource sources. Earning is attached to the cleaning process rather than only an unexplained end-of-job payment.
That gives temporary efficiency a context. A run-based boost can help before the reset, while a persistent one has a stated use afterward. The source supplies no meteor interval or upgrade values, so it cannot establish whether a particular temporary purchase pays for itself in time.
The reset is described as arriving eventually, rather than only when the player elects to prestige. No complete inventory-retention rule is supplied. The promise of persistent upgrades should remain attached to that category instead of expanding to everything already earned.
Before another purchase, identify which side of the meteor it belongs to. The cleaning still has to be done in the present run; the lasting upgrade is a reason that doing it can matter after the city’s clock starts again.
Sources & context
The store does not provide a meteor interval, named upgrade effect or complete resource-retention rule. Persistent upgrades are not assumed to protect all equipment or cash; the reset and cleaning feel were not tested.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
