Castle Grimhold: Dungeon Crawl
Castle Grimhold lets the Boss Codex give a loot hunt a destination
PREVIEW · Official Google Play description · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Castle Grimhold gives the loot hunt an address book. The Android description says the Boss Codex exposes bosses’ available loot, and some weapons, armor sets and unique items belong exclusively to particular bosses. A missing piece of equipment can help choose the enemy you want to face.
That changes what preparation can mean. Instead of judging a descent only by its depth, you can inspect which opponent has a relevant item in its advertised loot pool. The description does not give drop probabilities or a guaranteed reward, so knowing the destination is not the same as knowing how many victories the hunt will require.
Milestones provide a separate travel rule: you can skip to the next undefeated boss. That does not establish a shortcut to every defeated boss you might want to revisit. The distinction matters when planning a targeted hunt.
If assembling a particular build is the attraction, inspect the codex before equating a harder floor with more useful loot. Castle Grimhold’s concrete promise is information about where a desired item can come from. How readily you can obtain it remains a different question.
Sources & context
The Android listing supports visible boss loot and exclusive drops, not drop probabilities, replay costs, spawn access or a guaranteed target item. The skip rule concerns the next undefeated boss; it is not assumed to grant direct access to every previously defeated target.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
