Cleaning Up The Puzzle Gallery
Cleaning Up The Puzzle Gallery can take the painting out of the puzzle
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

A painting normally gives a jigsaw piece something to belong to before it fits. Cleaning Up The Puzzle Gallery’s officially described The Big White challenge removes that help: 1,024 pieces of pure white. The picture stops being a useful guide to which part of the scene a piece represents.
That changes the kind of attention the advertised puzzle invites. The gallery’s ordinary paintings have subjects and visual differences; an imported image can supply a familiar subject of your own. Pure white withholds those image distinctions. The source does not show the white puzzle’s exact geometry or aid settings, so it cannot establish a solving method based on a particular cut pattern.
The broader game also advertises ghost previews on hover and upgrades that help find, manipulate and solve pieces. Those aids are separate from the information contained in a painting. Their presence in the feature list should not be assumed to establish which ones remain active in every challenge mode.
Importing images offers a different way to select the problem: choose the picture and adjust its puzzle size, or fill a custom gallery. The useful decision is therefore more specific than wanting a large puzzle. Decide what you want to recognize while solving it. A favorite image supplies a subject to reconstruct; The Big White asks whether fitting pieces is still the attraction when the subject gives you nothing back.

The listing defines the white-piece challenge but does not document piece geometry, challenge-specific aid settings or an optimal solve. Museum scans are described by the developer as public domain; no individual artwork’s legal status is independently established here.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
