Cthulhu Realms
Cthulhu Realms gives survival a second finish line
PREVIEW · Official App Store listing · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Cthulhu Realms gives its fictional Sanity resource two jobs. The official description says losing it all eliminates you, but if the deck runs out, the player with the most Sanity wins. Preserving the resource can matter to a final comparison as well as immediate survival.
That complicates a simple plan to attack until only one player remains. The listed card actions include increasing your own Sanity and reducing someone else’s, so the approaching deck limit is relevant to what an action is trying to achieve. Keeping enough to stay alive and finishing with the highest amount are different targets.
The description does not supply a complete card list or timing demonstration, so it cannot establish that healing beats aggression in every match. It does establish a reason to watch how the game might end. If you enjoy a deckbuilder whose victory condition gives defense an additional purpose, investigate the Sanity comparison before assuming the only finish line is elimination.
Sources & context
The official description supplies elimination and deck-exhaustion outcomes. It does not expose every card interaction or prove a universally strong defensive strategy. Sanity is a fictional game resource, not a mental-health claim.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
