INFLUENCE / TRADE
FinSim
FinSim lets you buy the news that moves its simulated market
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing and developer website · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

The next headline in FinSim can be something you paid to publish. The official description advertises favorable news, triggered events and attacks on companies as ways to influence sentiment. Information is an action available to the player as well as something arriving from the market.
That gives the fictional trading problem a second layer. You can decide what position to take, and also whether to spend on changing the information around a company. The description warns that pushing harder may attract attention, but does not give costs or an enforcement threshold. It would therefore be premature to calculate a reliable manipulation strategy or promise a particular price response.
Company building provides another advertised path: develop the business, increase its value and take it public. The official site explicitly identifies its assets, headlines and events as simulated, which matters when reading its expansive financial language. These are choices inside the game.
If that premise appeals, the useful distinction is between reacting to news and manufacturing it within the simulation. The market need not be a background chart you simply wait to move. FinSim’s advertised player can become one of the reasons it moves, with the cost and consequences still to establish in play.
Sources & context
The Steam listing and official site support simulated news manipulation. They do not publish influence costs, price-response formulas or regulator thresholds. The developer advertises free mobile access for Steam owners, but redemption and cross-platform saves were not tested.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
