Garden Ink
Garden Ink’s bees give a discovered combination something to do
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing and developer announcements · Not played · Sources checked Oct 10, 2026. Our method.

A successful combination in Garden Ink can add activity as well as decoration. The developer’s October 2 update introduces a secret beehive combination and bees that can collect clouds for you. The interesting result is something that keeps doing a job after the merge.
The store description presents an initially empty world filled through combinations, coloring and small discoveries. The beehive is a concrete reason to inspect the result of an experiment instead of treating it as another entry in a decoration collection. Its exact recipe is left secret in the announcement, so there is no supported shopping list here.
The October 9 announcement takes a different approach to discovery: it explicitly tells you to combine four flowers into a sunflower, then click it repeatedly. The developer supplies a way to make and investigate this object without describing the precise response. That preserves a small thing to discover without requiring a fabricated reward.
Together the examples give experimentation two directions. One hides the recipe but names a useful activity; the other gives the recipe and leaves its click response for you to uncover. If a garden of small surprises appeals, look beyond whether the new object fits the palette. Garden Ink’s supported attraction includes asking what a combination has brought to life.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
