Miden Tower’s strangest party member is not hiding behind a wall. She is one. The official listing describes the heroine as an actual wall who supports the other characters by merging with walls or serving as a windbreak. Architecture is given a role in the party rather than left entirely in the background.
Those two advertised uses make the premise more than a character-design gag. A wall can join a surface or provide a barrier; the description gives you reason to notice the environment in relation to a companion’s abilities. It does not supply a demonstrated puzzle or establish that those abilities work in every situation where a wall might seem useful.
For someone who likes an RPG companion whose identity changes what to look for, that is the useful invitation. Miden Tower asks you to consider what a wall can do once it is traveling with you.
