Orc Incremental’s army can fight without your attack inputs, but the official description leaves a direct intervention: cast Blizzard to slow a boss threatening the frontline. Automatic combat and an action during the encounter are both parts of its advertised loop.

That separates the player’s jobs. Formation and drafted units prepare the warband that marches forward on its own. A spell concerns the fight currently unfolding. The source names the slowdown, but gives no cooldown, resource cost or duration, so it cannot promise that Blizzard is available whenever the frontline is in trouble or that casting it saves the run.

A stalled advance also has a longer response. Dark Rebirth resets the run while retaining permanent bonuses such as damage, health and gold improvements. That is a different scale of intervention from slowing one boss: it changes the terms of another run instead of only the present encounter. The description does not establish that every resource or unit carries over.

If watching a prepared army is appealing but you still want something to do when a battle turns, inspect that boundary between preparation and spellcasting. Orc Incremental gives the player an advertised way to affect a fight already in progress. The useful question is when that intervention creates room for the lineup you have, and when the lineup itself needs to change.

Sources & context

The official description supports automatic battles and the named Blizzard slowdown. No cooldown, mana cost, slow amount or guaranteed rescue is documented. Rebirth retains stated bonuses, without establishing that every resource or unit survives.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
