Automatic casting does not make every position equivalent in Run Survivor: Roguelike Magic. The Android description, which also calls the game Run Wizard Run, describes Ice Bolt as piercing and freezing, while Fire Aura burns nearby enemies. One effect reaches through targets; the other makes proximity relevant.

The developer assigns movement and upgrade choices to the player while spells fire automatically. Those named effects give a concrete reason to inspect what an upgrade will ask of your route. A nearby aura and a piercing attack need not make the same patch of ground useful, even though neither requires tapping a fire button.

The listing supplies no targeting rules, ranges or damage comparison. It would be premature to prescribe a combination or suggest standing close is safe. The useful first question is how clearly the game shows where each automatic effect works. If building an attack also changes where you want to run, that is more consequential than the size of the spell list.

Sources & context

The Google Play title is Run Survivor: Roguelike Magic; its description also uses Run Wizard Run. Spell effects are developer descriptions, without tested targeting, ranges, damage or upgrade compatibility. Monetization and advertised fairness were not verified.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
