Mind-reading does not make the protagonist of Sister Other Paranoia a trustworthy judge. The official synopsis gives the isolated writer access to other people’s thoughts, but says the envy he perceives deepens his distrust. More information and a better understanding are not presented as the same outcome.

The advertised power has a severe fictional consequence: the protagonist can use it to cause another person’s suicide. The description frames this through his hostile rationalizations, then explicitly asks whether it is acceptable. That question matters when reading the promotional voice. Its contempt for other people belongs to the character’s perspective; it is not evidence that the story has vindicated him.

The visual novel uses full-screen text, with right-click available to hide it and view the art. The source does not show a particular choice or establish how much control the reader has over the protagonist’s actions. What it does support is a specific reason to investigate the narrative: a supposed ability to know other minds can become a means of harm, while the justification for using it remains open to challenge. Read what he claims to know alongside what he chooses to do with it.

Sources & context

The developer describes a fictional power and poses an ethical question, but does not document an actual choice screen, route consequence or ending. This is a mature narrative with self-harm themes; no clinical accuracy or player-emotion claim is made. The linked developer website was checked but supplied no additional game-specific rule.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
