Stackflow
Stackflow gives Stone and Obsidian different relationships with the board
PREVIEW · Official Steam listing and one selected player report · Not played · Sources checked Oct 9, 2026. Our method.

Stone and Obsidian are not advertised as interchangeable shapes in Stackflow. The developer describes Stone exploding into points and Obsidian as indestructible with permanent multipliers. One promises a scoring event; the other is described in terms of staying and multiplying.
That distinction belongs inside a block-fitting task with target scores. A piece’s footprint is part of the arrangement, but its behavior changes what that occupied space can offer. The source does not explain Stone’s trigger or an Obsidian multiplier’s exact coverage, so those details cannot become a worked combo here.
Permanence also needs a boundary. The description does not establish that a multiplier survives into a separate run, or that indestructibility means the block can never be moved. The supported attraction is a contrast in the two advertised block types, not an invented persistence system.
A negative English report posted October 3, with 132 minutes at review, enjoys the demo and early full-game runs but finds few viable block builds and too little variety to keep returning. The writer reports unlocking 17 of 21 achievements; that is their stated scope, not proof of seeing every combination. The criticism qualifies the invitation to distinct block behavior: having different block rules does not by itself establish how long their combinations remain interesting.
If score-building puzzles appeal, ask what the placed block will become after it fits. Stone’s point event and Obsidian’s lasting multiplier suggest different reasons to want a piece in the arrangement. The target score is a number; the means of reaching it need not all occupy the board in the same way.
Sources & context
The description does not give Stone’s activation condition, multiplier values or whether permanence extends beyond a run. Promotional dopamine and addiction language is not adopted as evidence about players. One english negative report posted October 3, at 132 minutes, was selected from the first three of ten recent all-language/all-purchase accounts for its direct qualification of the article’s rule. Build and patch correspondence remain unknown.

One mechanic, the decision it creates, and a little dry humor.
